Digitization in education: the Neumann Society is organizing an online meetup with the participation of the staff of ELTE, the largest university in US, entitled ELTE, on December 8, 2022.

In March 2020, due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, US moved to the online space in a few days, including domestic higher education institutions, the announcement reads.

More than two and a half years after the outbreak of the pandemic, the representative of the Neumann Company a more than ELTE, which employs 4,000 people, will talk about the digital transition as an institution and the online education with two senior employees of the university.

The guests of the meetup bring to life a “creation story”, sharing their experiences with the audience from two perspectives: on the one hand, from the point of view of educational organization, and on the other, from the point of view of IT/technical feasibility.

THE Digitization in education: ELTE experts invited by meetup:

  • Tamás Cseszregi, director of education at ELTE. The board’s task is to implement the educational organization tasks of the university, as well as the management and professional supervision of the educational organization tasks at the faculty level.

  • David Ritter, IT director of ELTE. The directorate provides central IT, educational technology and telecommunications services for the university, and in the framework of these ensures the operation of the network, clients and servers, administration and supervision of users. He coordinates the university’s IT developments and the creation of its IT strategy

We will talk about the initial digital skills of the instructors, students and administrative workers, the procedures and solutions used for the organization of virtual education and the general functioning of the organization, as well as the results and lessons learned. How the success of the completed transformation is judged by the key actors, to what extent the ad hoc crisis situation left room for sophisticated planning, what were the biggest difficulties and whether there was a “lucky” or lucky turn will be revealed during the conversation.

On behalf of Neumann Társaság, the discussion will be moderated by Gabriella Dandoy, an employee of Neumann Társaság.

Taking place on December 8, 2022 from 2 p.m Digitization in education: ELTE meetup will take place on the Zoom platform, participation in the event is free, only prior registration is required, which can be done at this link.
